CANCELLATION POLICY

Lesson Cancelation

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all lessons and groups. In the event you are unable to attend a lesson for your own reason, School of Rock will make efforts to arrange for a make-up lesson. Please notify the General Manager/Studio Manager of your expected absence at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson via email at delco@schoolofrock.com. If you fail to show up for your lesson or notify a Manager less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, you will have the choice to schedule a makeup for a $39.99 charge, or can choose to forfeit your lesson for that week. There is no carry over of make-ups to the next season. All make-ups are forfeited when a student leaves the program.

Performance Program Priority

As School of Rock is a performance-based school, all students in a performance program (Little Wing, Rookies, Rock 101, and Performance for kids and adults) will have priority when it comes to scheduling needs and preferences over Lessons Only students. This is to ensure that all students who visit the studio more than once a week can make their lesson times.

Lesson Conflicts due to a Performance

Please be aware that no makeups are provided for shows. If you or your child will miss their lesson due to a performance (end of season or additional performances), you must choose whether to go to the performance or the lesson.

Program Cancellation

There is a 30 day cancellation policy if you decide to cancel for all programs. We require an email to delco@schoolofrock.com to confirm the start of any cancellation or hold. We can prorate our last month based on the 30 day window and billing cycle. Parents/adult students are responsible for their last month of tuition whether or not they attend lessons. This policy allows us to keep our instructor’s schedules and class sizes from major fluctuation and allows us time to fill that spot on the schedule before a student leaves the program. Please keep in mind that you may be charged an additional sign up fee if you return to School of Rock after cancelling.

Temporary Holds on Programs

Account Holds can only be placed up to 90 days, and require 30 days notice verified by an email to delco@schoolofrock.com. If you do not have a date and time of return, you will be asked to cancel your account (30 days notice) and come back to school when it meets your families needs. All holds must prepay their return month to cover the cancellation month should you not return. Upon your return, you would not be charged an additional sign up fee. Holds must be approved by the Owner and General Manager.

BILLING & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT POLICIES

Tuition & Payment

School of Rock payments are processed by a pre-authorized credit/debit card billed on the first or fifteenth of each month. Other than your first and last months (depending on start date/end date), tuition is not prorated.

Payment for your first month is required to hold any spot on the schedule. Any lesson or group on the schedule without a first month’s payment is not reserved until the payment is processed.

Your credit card statement will show billing from our parent corporation: Wewannarock, LLC /School of Rock Delco.

As of August 1, 2023 there will be a 3.5% service fee on all purchases made using the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note: no fees will be charged on purchases made with a bank debit card. You will still see the 3.5% at the top of your bill regardless of the card used, with the accurate amount of the payment charged under the “Payments” tab.

If you wish to change the payment method for your monthly tuition, we can assist you with that. You can also update your payment method in your Pike13 account by logging in through the link below:

This fee includes ear protection (in-house), and access to the Method App and Online Method Books. If you would like your own personal ear protection we have many on sale we can help you choose.

SAFETY POLICIES

  • Mysafeschoolofrock.com - All incidents must be reported within 1 hour
  • All students are required to wear ear protection where noise levels are over 80 decibels.
  • Video cameras are present in all lesson rooms. All staff are background checked
  • Any medical issues should be discussed with the Owner, General Manager, or Studio Manager.
  • Waivers will be available for older students who are allowed to come and go on their own.
  • NO WANDERING! FOR SAFETY OF STUDENTS AND STAFF, PARENTS & GUARDIANS ARE ASKED TO REMAIN IN THE LOBBY AREA ONLY. IF YOU’D LIKE TO BRIEFLY WATCH YOUR CHILD’S LESSON/SESSION, PLEASE ASK FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO ESCORT YOU.
  • Why can't you wander? Foremost, for the safety of all students, all of our staff has been background checked. It is a distraction to the students and staff. Staff have personal items in their rooms and the equipment is sensitive. Front Desk staff are busy, monitoring of parents/guests wandering around is an unnecessary distraction and risk.
Waivers
  • All parents/guardians are required to sign our waiver prior to the student's first lesson/group session. You should receive an email to sign the waiver electronically.
  • To ensure the safety of our students, School of Rock Delco requires that students under the age of 13 remain on our premises unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, including pick up time.
  • An optional waiver is available for parents or guardians to grant School of Rock Delco permission to allow their child who is 13 years of age or older to leave the premises unaccompanied by the parent or guardian.
Students and Parent Behavior
  • All students that attend our school and parents are required to adhere to our three main tenets, respect yourself, respect each other, and respect the school. Anyone found violating these rules will be required to speak to the Owner or General Manager about the student’s behavior.
  • Little Wing and Rookie Parents are able to leave the school at any time during their child’s class. However, we may ask that a parent stays on the premises in the event that the School needs parent support with a child expanding their behavioral or social skills that align with the school and classroom policies.
  • School of Rock does not tolerate fraternization or PDA of any kind between students on School of Rock premises. We want our school to be a place where everyone feels welcome, safe and comfortable. Please respect each other while sharing the same performance space.
  • All online and telephone communication must go through the front of the house or Pike13. This is to ensure that all personal and financial information is secure for all clients, account managers and staff members.
Damaging Equipment
  • Parents are responsible for any damage to equipment or facilities that are not normal wear and tear of gear associated with play.
  • Students who misuse equipment, damage facilities, or break equipment, may be expelled with no refund and the parent is responsible for the replacement of the equipment. We expect all students to treat equipment with respect and care at all times.
Verbal and Physical Abuse

All students are responsible for creating a safe and accepting environment for each student or instructor in the school. If your student uses improper language, physical, or abusive language or contact with an instructor, or student, they can be expelled from the school with no refund.

Explicit Lyrics

School of Rock believes in representing the artists and songs in their original lyrics and structure. Please be aware some of our Performance classes use Adult language. Please read carefully for any shows which have lyrics or context you are not comfortable with BEFORE signing up.

Personal Equipment

Performance groups have a strict “no gear,” policy for any outside monitors, pedals, or amplifiers. We strongly encourage that all students only bring the necessary items needed to perform, that being yourself and your instrument (if applicable). In the event outside gear is brought onto the premises, School of Rock is not responsible for any damaged equipment or instruments, and is not liable to refund or replace damaged equipment. All performance programs, Best of Shows, and productions will exclusively use School of Rock gear. Outside equipment will not be permitted to ensure consistently great shows.

HEARING PROTECTION POLICY

Exposure to amplified sound for prolonged periods of time can result in permanent hearing damage. For the protection of our students, School of Rock requires the use of ear protection during rehearsals, live shows or any activities with sustained sound exposure. It’s best if they start getting used to wearing this as young as Little Wing. It is the student’s responsibility to possess and maintain hearing protection while participating in School of Rock activities. Students not adhering to the policy will be given a pair of disposable ear plugs and their account will be charged $2.
